Our environmental performance is monitored with respect to continual improvement of the Management System by review and periodic audits, carried out both internal and external. The approved sub-contractors we have on our approved register are also monitored and assessed at regular intervals.

We are a registered Waste Carrier and also hold a fully licensed transfer station licence used for local projects. Projects throughout the UK we use only approved waste companies and all licenses are checked at regular intervals.

At Reddish demolition we aim to recycle as much as possible, we have a strong ethos of environmental responsibility as we have two members of our management team who are holders of a WAMITAB qualification and both are enthusiastic about recycling and reducing our carbon footprint. Last year our company recycling rate was 92%. We achieved this by minimising the production of waste, re-using surplus waste materials whenever possible, promoting the use of recycled materials, utilising waste management companies that can offer high recycling rates, disposing of residual waste in the most sustainable manner & ensuring duty of care requirements are met and upheld.

At planning stage of the project during the preparation of the CPP an Environmental Management Plan and the Waste Management Plan is put in place which is reviewed throughout the project to ensure project objectives will be met. The environmental aspects are identified and addressed at planning stage to prevent the impact of our activities and works are monitored throughout the project and recorded.

Regular Tool Box Talks and team safety briefs are carried out to ensure each operative is aware of his/her responsibilities with regards to the Environment and regular training is provided for all site personnel. Our Management System in place ensures compliance with standards of ISO 14001 we obtained accreditation in 2012 and are regularly audited.
